Greetings, visitors! I am Caerac, former adventurer, swordsman, and now lord of my own Keep! All right, I’ve been dead for centuries, but Caerac Keep was named after me. Yes, that’s right, this wonderful, walled city you’re wandering around within. Yes, I know my definition of Keep is different than what you might find, if you looked up the term. I earned my Keep, through questing and rescuing many a soul in need. All right, I actually liberated treasure, from many a careless monster, but every adventurer was doing it, in my day and age! Now, I’ve got all these monster right activists, picketing my tomb, accusing me of being a murderer and a thief! Right, I’d like to see how any of them would do, facing a real life monster! Plus, I did a lot of good, too! You see that tavern in Caerac Keep, the Tipsy Hedgehog? I trained Maggie, its owner, how to use the sword. She and I used to adventure together once. Now, her tavern is famous throughout the land, for its ale, along with its local dishes! What? You say Maggie is no longer in Caerac Keep? My fool of an author has transported her into another universe, where she’s playing a part in one of the novels she’s currently writing? Bloody devils! Why can’t my author get back to me? I was a good character! All right, I was only a background character, but still! My descendants have ruled this Keep for centuries! What did you say? There a strange, pale lord, who only appears at night, in charge of my Keep now? How did that happen? Come to my grave, young heroes! I’ll tell you how it was, really was, when I was alive! You know of Gwyneth Keep? Gwyneth was also a former companion I used to adventure with. Yes, I know, she ended up with a much larger Keep, but mine is a much more orderly and safe place! Monsters and all kinds of undead are constantly attacking Gwyneth Keep, so it’s no longer safe to wander around, unlike at Caerac Keep! What’s that? What do you mean, it’s because of a deal the local lord made with a vampire, which results in folks quietly going missing to feed its hunger? What scandalous lies! Why, you can’t find a safer place than Caerac Keep! Although, I will admit, it’s been getting a bit more dangerous of late. Come and find my grave, young heroes, and I’ll tell you the secrets of this place, but come quickly! If you dawdle, someone else might find me first, and I’ll be forced to walk the earth as one of the living dead. I truly hope you’ll hurry, but wait a minute! You say my author hasn’t worked on my story in years? Confound it! She can’t just create a character, only to ignore him! Lemme at her! How can she throw my story over, for that confounded Keep she shared with other authors? There wouldn’t even be a Keep, if not for me! Lemme at her!

B is for Briar
B is for Briar
Good day, readers. (A maiden with snow white skin, midnight hair, and blood red lips curtseyed to you all. She’s wearing a purple gown, embroidered with red ribbons.) I’m Briar. Unlike the sad shades, who’ve haunted these A-Z blogs thus far, I’m a character in a story, which is on the verge of publication; ‘Fairest’, by K.S. Trenten. My name didn’t come to me with ease, nor was it given to me at birth. It’s a gift bestowed upon me by my beloved, the princess I tried to curse. She saw good in me, when no one else did, including myself. If you wish to read the details of how I sought to make this princess mine and ended up becoming hers, do purchase our tale. May you be as enchanted by it as both my princess and I were.

A is for Aissa
Hello, there. (Long, golden eyelashes flutter under a veil at the readers) I have many names, but you can call me Aissa. This is how I introduced myself to that delectable princeling, Troile, in my author’s story, ‘Achille and Troy’. Yes, I actually have another name, but Aissa is an opportunity to explore…other aspects of my personality. After all, the mightiest of the Achaens can have layers, can’t he? Or rather, she? Yes, this is a name I used, when dwelling on Scyros, trying to avoid the uncomfortable attentions of some rather forward men. Alas, they caught up with me, but Odysseus didn’t trick me, as tales tell, into revealing my true self. I left my choice, ultimately, to darling Troile. He preferred, shall we say, my more masculine aspect? Although I do have some regrets, as to his choice. We might have expressed our passion in a gentler fashion than what came to pass. However, unlike that fop, Paris, Troile never shuns the rough path, even if it will result in his death. My own passion was kindled, all the hotter, by his courage. If you want to read the story legends have forgotten of that passion, do read our author’s tale, ‘Achille and Troile’. It did get published, didn’t it? Well, if you didn’t accept it, my dear publisher, it’s your loss. Unless our silly author didn’t finish it, before the deadline. In which case, it’s everybody’s loss. Hopefully, it will have a chance to be told, regardless of canonical anyone believes it to be. (sniffs)

Hi! I’m in the idiot in the other blog, with the same name as the sexist with no sense of humor at inspirationcauldron.wordpress.com. Honestly, does she ever stop complaining? She’s not nearly as much fun as me! Although, I get more serious as I grow up and recover my memories. I started out as half mad sidhe childling in a ‘Changeling the Dreaming’ campaign. Later, I was whisked away to the interactive story world of ‘The Keep’. It was in the Keep, where I met Rhane, my other self. Trauma at the hands of vampires had created me, a strange, fae child, separate from her, yet still connected to her. This connection has continued, as Rhane and I discover new life in the story fragments our writer has given us. According to my recent genesis, Rhane came up with my name, when looking at an amber glass of wine. She needed a character of her own for an interactive story she and her friends were playing together, but I’m not sure if any of the other players quite formed the bond she and I did. The line between roleplaying and reality gets blurred, as the players wonder if they themselves are real. I was looking forward to what exactly our story would be, if our writer would only take the time to write it! However, she keeps losing herself in the Shadow Forest, only leaving to write in World of Ouroborous, or to work on ‘Wind Me Up, One More Time’. Now, she’s getting distracted by another request for male/male submissions of a Victorian/steampunk nature! Will our author ever return to Rhane and myself? Right now, I’m not sure. ;_;
